The golf course has been designed to help eliminate slow play while promising to challenge area golfers.  The tees, fairways and greens are bentgrass with, according to many, the best greens in Ottawa and the Valley.  With three nines now open, they have temporarily been renamed.  The white nine is based on a links style layout bordered with majestic pine trees and a 30 foot elevation change.  The black nine  is spectacular with its sculpted beauty, up to 60 foot elevation changes and the infamous birch tree growing through the 1934 Ford tractor on it's teardrop stage in the middle of the 17th fairway.  The Gold Course is more challenging with its tree lined fairways, large ponds and elevated tees & greens.

We currently have an informal clubhouse which serves breakfast on the weekends and holidays and a simple but varied menu for lunch, supper or evening snacks.    Our chef has taken our kitchen from a "fast food fare" kitchen to one which produces homemade meals and snacks from fresh products as well as burgers, jumbo hot dogs, fries, etc.    In 2007 we began a contest in the lounge whereby if you ordered chicken wings or the weekend special, you were entered into a draw for a 42" LG HD Plasma television.  Congratulations to our winner Brad Goodman!  Watch for our 2008 draw.  Most weekdays you are drawn to the lounge by the smell of homemade cookies and muffins.  A completely enclosed, attached patio is available in addition to the lounge.

We currently have 27 holes in play and 2009 will be our first full season as a 36 hole operation.  To compliment this magnificent 36 hole complex we are planning a large two-storey clubhouse with a balcony overlooking the course.

Our stadium style-driving range offers accommodations for up to 100 players on bentgrass turf and the large practice putting green and short game practice facility assist with warming up and building skills.

We would like to extend our warmest invitation to our returning, new and "daily" members.  For those of you who haven't tried our course yet, come out for the first time and enjoy what Greensmere
has to offer.  We want to make your time with us both memorable
and one you'll want to repeat again and again.
