2023 GREENSMERE JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM-

COMBINING FUN, FITNESS, AND INSTRUCTION OUR JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO BRING OUT THE BEST IN YOUR YOUNG GOLFER!!

The Mission of the Junior Golf Academy:

The goal of Greensmere Junior golf programs is to introduce young athletes to the great game of golf in a fun, informative and safe learning environment.  We clearly understand the developmental stages of children and we have designed our programs accordingly.  The Junior Academy offers progressive social and competitive programs for all ages and abilities, while focusing on the fundamentals of golf, athletic development and building positive self- esteem.  Not many sports place such an emphasis on honesty, integrity, camaraderie and other essential life skills the way the game of golf, so wonderfully does.

We take pride in providing a professional, fun and friendly environment for the junior golfer to discover the game through private lessons, camps and group programs.

Reasons your child should play golf:

  1. Teachings of the game of golf

The game of golf has at its very core a standard of behavior that lends itself to positive development, teaching our children to be responsible individuals.  Honesty, integrity, courtesy, sportsmanship, and respect are all present in golf.

  1. Exercise and Fitness

It is estimated that 20 to 30 percent of children are overweight.  Golf is a great low impact way to develop the cardio activity, core stability, balance, and mental focus that is necessary to function effectively from day to day and reduce the risk of health concerns.

  1. Family time

Golf is a game that families can learn and play together.  When was the last time you played tackle football with your son or soccer with your daughter?  Golf is that game that can be enjoyed by everyone together for years.  Junior golf programs can help a parent instill the love of the game and build lasting family memories.

  1. Golf as a summer sport

Getting the kids on the golf course gives them something safe and productive to do during the summer.  Video games are great in winter when it is cold and snowy outside.  Golf is a great sport and game for getting them outside in the nicer weather.  They can go for lessons, play on the course during the day and go to the driving range as well.  Furthermore, many friendships can begin at a junior golf program.  There is something to giving your child the opportunity to socialize.  And have FUN participating.

What our Junior Golfers are saying….

  • They enjoy being outside.
  • They like making new friends.
  • They like to play with their parents and friends.
  • Golf is a fun sport.
  • Golf is cool and fun.
  • I like to see what I can do with a club and a ball.
  • I like seeing how far I can hit the ball.
  • When I play, I forget about everything else.
